National Nurses Week: Specials and Discounts for Nurses

National Nurses Week takes place at the beginning of May each year. It raises awareness of the vital job that nurses perform and recognize their contributions to society. To honor nurses everywhere who save lives and help keep people healthy, many retailers and restaurants are giving away freebies and offering special deals from May 6th through May 12th.

Here are some of the best deals and freebies available during National Nurses Week.

Check out these deals for a free or discounted meal this week.

Cinnabon
Cinnabon is offering free treats to nurses this week. Participating Cinnabon Bakery locations are offering a choice of 4-count BonBites™, MiniBon® or a Cinnabon® Classic Cinnamon Roll for free all this week to nurses. Just present your work ID badge for the offer.

Evos
The healthy fast food chain says that they appreciate the nurses who make the world a better place. They are showing their appreciation with free food. So, if you are located in the Tampa, Florida area, you can go to any EVOS location and get a free salad, meal or bowl with the purchase of one. This offer is good through May 7th with a professional valid work ID.

Jimboy’s Tacos
This Sacramento-based fast-food Mexican chain is offering nurses a buy-one-get-one-free deal on the Original Ground Beef Tacos. This deal runs through Saturday at participating Jimboy’s Tacos locations in California. Just show your employee ID for the special. Limit three tacos per nurse.

Pollo Tropical
Nurses will get 25 percent off any order through May 12th. Use the code 651 at checkout. Pollo Tropical has extended this offer to all healthcare workers. Be prepared to show your work ID card for the deal. Check out this post for more information.

Potbelly Sandwich Shop
This sandwich chain will add a free cookie and fountain drink for all nurses from May 6th through May 12th. To get the deal, you can either show your work ID or wear scrubs to the shop.

Texas Steakhouse and Saloon
Nurses in Virginia, North Carolina or West Virginia can visit a exas Steakhouse and Saloon and receive $5 off any order over $15. You must show your work badge for this deal, which runs through May 12th.
